CHARACTERISTICS OF THE JOB
- Job location: ICRA – Catalan Institute for Water Research, Girona, Spain
- Number of positions available: 1
- Expected start: February 2022
- Temporal Position. The position is for 4 Months (approximately).
- Gross Annual Salary package: 15.000 – 19.999 € (to be determined according to the candidate’s experience, aptitudes and skills).
JOB PURPOSE / PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Identification of innovative practices in groundwater management in scenarios of water scarcity in the AQUIFER project – Innovative tools for the integrated management of groundwater in a context of growing scarcity of water resources.
Bibliographic consultation and interviews with national and international experts capable of contributing to an adequate understanding and description of the selected innovative practices. Interviews can be done face-to-face, by phone or through videoconferencing tools.
Proposal and selection of 10 innovative practices based on the practices identified by the project partners or identified through interviews.
Elaboration of a descriptive file by practice, between 6 and 10 pages each, following the attached index, in Spanish and English. The identification of the experts consulted must be included in the descriptive files, as well as the reference to other bibliographic sources.
Development, selection and description of groundwater management innovative practices as described in the tasks.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & SELECTION CRITERIA
Must Have – Required
Degree on Environmental Sciences or Chemistry.
Master on Water Resources Sciences or similar,
Experience: Academic involvement as grad student, lab work, data analysis.
Knowledge: Water chemistry issues in the environment, water management basic knowledge
Skills: Academic research, data analysis, environmental chemistry
Spanish/Catalan, English, studies at master level
