- Damià Barceló, ICRA director and IDAEA-CSIC deputy director, is in charge of coordinating the 12 teams of scientists involved in the project.
- Over one hundred scientists will evaluate and predict the effects of global change on water availability, its quality and the resulting socio-economic impact on Mediterranean river basins in the Iberian Peninsula.
- With a 4.5 million euros budget over five years, leading scientists across a variety of disciplines will study the Llobregat, Ebro, Júcar and Guadalquivir basins, as representative rivers for a broad combination of socio-ecological conditions in Spain's Mediterranean area of influence.
